Neversea Festival 2026: No, It’s Not Back, After All

After a brief detour to the capital last year – resulting in the birth of the Kapital Music Festival, a festival which was also cancelled this year – Neversea was expected to return to its rightful home on the beaches of Constanța in 2026.

This was one of the best music festivals in Romania, and its 7th edition was highly anticipated by the fans after it took a year-long break, according to last year’s announcement.

Why Did Neversea Take a Break in 2025?

It came to me as a huge surprise to learn, last year, that the organizers packed up and moved to Bucharest. But it all came down to logistics and location availability.

The organizers and local authorities simply could not find a beach sector free of commercial contracts like beach bars and sunbeds in time for the summer, and since a beach festival without a beach doesn’t work… Neversea 2025 got canceled.

Early 2026 reports claimed that proper location has been secured (reportedly, the Neversea beach where the festival always took place) and everybody was expecting to buy tickets to Neversea 2026.

But… It’s still silent everywhere, and with just a bit over a month until the festival would take place, it’s pretty obvious that it won’t happen.

Neversea 2026: What to Expect

The Neversea official website still redirects to Kapital, which makes it even more obvious that this festival might be history, despite hopes and hype.

I will constantly update this article throughout the year if this happens, but I believe that after two years with no Neversea, chances are we won’t see it back. It will be missed for sure!

If you’re looking for alternatives, make sure to also check out my article sharing the Beach, Please Festival lineup and schedule – it takes place in nearby Costinesti, and it will most likely become the main seaside music fest this year – and most likely in the years to come.

Where to get tickets for Neversea 2026?

Normally, you can purchase tickets from the official website or various other vendors, but right now, since the website is not live, no information is available.

To make sure you’re always up to date with the latest news (as well as promos and various other goodies), download the Neversea fest app from Google Play or from the App Store.

Also, don’t forget to follow the Facebook page of the festival, as well as their Instagram account for exclusive discounts, photos, and more.

Final words

If you want to boost up your knowledge about Romanian music, I wrote an article about folk & traditional Romanian music here.

Or keep the festival vibe going and check out my article about Untold festival, which is the biggest in Romania and also one of the most popular in Eastern Europe – also organized by the same company behind Neversea (but this one hopefully not going to be cancelled).

  1. how do you reach the festival? because I can’t find no trains nor buses and there’s nothing on the site… I’m 100% sure most festival goers land in Bucharest so there must be transportation from there. let me know and thanks in advance

    • Right now, there is no organized transport from Bucharest to Neversea so that you could take a train or bus from Bucharest to Constanta. Both have stations in the same place.

From the Constanta train station, you can take an Uber or Bolt (for around 3 euros) to the Neversea beach. Hopefully, though, they will introduce buses to take you there, at least from Constanta.
